This list was originally compiled in January, 2020. We’ve asked garden club members across Ohio for their favorite places to buy native plants. We’re working on updating this list to find the very best growers and the best possible plants for our gardens.

Other Sources of Native Plants

Ohio County Soil and Water Conservation Districts host plant and tree sales, with most holding spring events in April and May. To find specific sale dates for your county, visit the website for your local district or call them directly.

Many county and city metroparks and nature centers hold native plant sales in the spring or fall. Check with your local parks for confirmed dates.

Pop-up Sales are held at various locations by independent conservation groups and grassroots organizers and Farmer’s Markets often have vendors selling plants. An online search will usually bring up details.
